It's a heart-pumping thriller that is sure to leave you with chills down your spine. The show perfectly combines horror and drama, keeping you engaged till the end. But before I tell you more, this show was a Korean webtoon initially, which I have to admit I am yet to read but let me assure you it is on my reading list. The series revolves around a religious group that predicts the upcoming deaths of people, stating that they will be sent straight to hell. The twist is that instead of dying a peaceful death, these individuals are subjected to gruesome and painful deaths by supernatural entities. The story follows a group of characters who embark on a journey to unravel the mystery and put an end to the killings.
The direction and cinematography are top-notch, making the terror-filled moments even more intense. The writers have shown great storytelling skills, making us empathize with the characters and feel their fear and anxiety. The actors deliver excellent performances, bringing the characters and their emotions to life.
Overall, Hellbound is a must-watch for horror and thriller lovers. The series is gripping and has well-written characters, outstanding performances, and a unique concept that will keep you hooked till the end. Oh and let's not forget the amazing twist at the end, I won't say no more.
What about season 2?
Well, it has been confirmed that season 2 is coming our way but there is no actual date for the release on the Netflix platform. Originally it was predicted for 2022 but as 2022 is gone and dusted let's hope the new season gets released in 2023. We shall see.
Last thing but not least; I also recommend you watch the series in Korean with an English sub .. let's say the American accent in dub does not really have the same effect as in the original language.
