Sephora haul

I am in France right now visiting my family for Christmas and when I'm in France I can't not go to Sephora.
Here Sephora is an institution, a French company created many moons ago and which can now be found a bit everywhere in the world.

A little Clinique review

Clinique products have always been around me especially when I was younger, my mum had shelves full of them but I've never tried them until recently I got the 3 steps system for dry skin. This lot come with 3 products to follow in 3 steps which I quiet like the idea of.

A day in Bordeaux - France

This Christmas my boyfriend and I are visiting my family in the South of France. From London to Carcassonne its pretty much around 15/16 hours drive which is way too long to do in one go, so we decided to spend two nights in Bordeaux, which is about 8 hours drive from Calais.

Afternoon tea at Muriel's kitchen

Last Sunday my boyfriend, my best friend and I decided to simply have an afternoon tea at Muriel's Kitchen (Soho -London), we heard about that place many times but never went before until Sunday ! And what a treat it was !First of all the place is very well put together , the style is kind of French with a vintage twist , really cute and very homely too. We all ordered a pot of tea along with a sweet treat. I had a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream which was really yummy .
Also we got lucky as they have one table with swing chairs !Yes swing chairs believe it or not, and we got it ! It  was a fun experience to have a pot of tea with a huge scone while swinging away.
If you do not know Muriel's Kitchen I strongly recommend it !

December Glossybox 2014

I received my December Glossybox last week and once again I am loving it ! This months theme is quite obvious, it's Christmas. The box is so cute and festive.
So here's what I got this month :
We'll start with the cheek & lip stain by Bellapierre Cosmetic, I have to say I never heard of that brand before but never the less its the first item appealed to me, I just cant wait to try it. Also I got TREsemm√© renewal hair & scalp which is a full size product and this will join my bathroom items to be used very shorty. Anatomicals zap!zap!zap! I'll be honest with you I am lucky and I very rarely get spots on my face so this product will not be used very often but never the less might come handy one day you never know. Next one is SkinPep Hydra boost face cream, I have already used it and I'm already loving it. Last but not least a nail polish by Essence, the colour shade is ref 59, it's a deep red which I know I am going to love. I am a red colour kind of girl ;) I know essence and they do nice product so I am looking forward to try it.

My little Box by Fleur De Force | Christmas Edition

I was so excited to get my My Little Box this month ! I just love them so much. You should know that I have subscribed to two boxes: Glossybox and My Little Box, but I do have to admit that My Little Box is by far my favourite. I do think the French team behind it put much more effort into the packaging, products they choose etc. I think for the same value My Little Box is better quality!

Yankee Candle collection

Last week I went to a huge store and came across a new shiny hale of  Yankee Candle products , I'll be honest, I have pretty much resisted the whole year without succumbing by the temptation to order some on line and it was really hard! If you know me,  you 'll know that I am totally nuts about candles (ins' it Betsy Boo?)  So waiting a year without trying a Yankee Candle is an exploit I  tell you !!!

Countryside weekend #1

The first weekend of December, my boyfriend and I went to visit his family. They live in a pretty village in Worcestershire called Wadborough.
As mush as I love London, going to the countryside it's a bit like recharging your batteries.
Usually our countryside weekend breaks consist of:

-Endless amount of cup of teas
-Home made sponge cakes
-Roast dinners
-Board games
-Reading
-Bacon sandwiches
and let 's not forget :
-Long walks with Charlie the dog.

It doesn't seems much but it's all you need for a weekend fill with happiness.

Bourgois Rouge Velvet Edition | review

Hi dolls,

This is my 1st review ever ! And for my 1st one I choose to review Rouge Edition Velvet by Bourgois. To start with I was confused in which category to place it because it is not really a lip-gloss and not really a lipstick. confused? Me too! So I open a new category; "looks like a lip gloss, acts like a lipstick". If you think of something else, please comment below :)
The colour that I chose is No Velvet 08 the darkest shade , Bourgois only released 4 shades.
When I first tried it I was expecting a 'wet' touch on my lips, but not at all! The feel is literally velvety. It doesn't feel heavy or wet, just a lovely velvety sensation on your lips which I have never encountered before. So I was already really impressed and secondly the colour! I was expecting a 50's style mat red look and I got it bang on! The colour is a deep red and I am in love with it! You may need to apply it 2 to 3 times but you get the look at the end. Also lets not forget that it lasts 24 hours! Or at least enough hours without any retouching.
In conclusion I really love that product and I love it so much that I may actually get the other shades.

Sunday plan

Hi Dolls!!

I wasn't planning to do a post today but as the weather is dreadful I decided that it would be a perfect pampering, chilling, type of day and I'll share it with you .

Lately I discovered, a bit randomly, Spice Buttercream candle from Illume , and I love the scent so much that I am looking forward to try another one of their candles.
I am planning to do my nails with either a poppy colour or grey ...humm...decisions, decisions...
And hydrating my skin and lips while listening to Lana Del Ray's last album and reading Oversight by Charlie Fletcher.
What about you? What is your Sunday consisting of?

My Little Box - November 2014

Hi Little Fox's
This week I received My Little Box UK November edition and the theme this month is: cosy.
For those, which are not familiar with My Little Box, it's a concept created by a French team and they have been available in UK for the past few months.
From all the boxes that I've tried out there, My Little Box is by far my favourite as you don't just get beauty products but also cute little things such as note books, hand made jewellery, candles etc. obviously every month there is a different theme so you never get the same thing.
This month the theme is : all about being cosy ! Well what can I say it is indeed a perfect time to get cosy when cold starts biting your little toes and all you want is a hot tea, a good book and a warm blanket to brave the cold nights. I actually do love Autumn and winter, both my favourites seasons!
Here what was inside:

November Glossybox 2014

Hi all !!
I hope I am doing this right but this is my 1st blog post and I am nervous yet excited at the same time! :)
I guess I need to start somewhere so here we go !!!
I subscribed to Glossybox UK  about few months ago and I received last weekend my 3rd box.
So the November Glossy Box edition is this month back to the original color : PINK
In this month box I received 5 products : 3 were sample sizes x 2 were full size products along with 2 leaflets:  one with description + prices of the 5 products.
I wasn't impressed at 1st, by the size of all the products but after looking at them carefully I realized that after all they were really nice samples to high quality , and sometimes I rather have a really good product in a small size than a really bad product in a large size . quantity not always mean quality in my opinion anyway.
