Evening Skincare Routine | Edition

I've never done this type of post before but like they say there is always a first time and I hope you'll enjoy it. The past few weeks I have been enjoying using three of my three favourite products listed below for my evening skincare routine. Those products are the Delia Vitamin A,E & F serum, along with my Sancturay Overnight face & neck cream and Benet's Balm.

Champagne Life | Saatchi Gallery

Art has always been something that has appealed to me from a very young age but mostly since I have become what we call an 'adult' that I understand better the concept of art or at least I think I do. Saatchi Gallery is one of my all time favourite galleries in London, with the unconventional work they showcase and also the lovely location in Chelsea and let's be honest also the free entrance make it even more special in a place such as London where the price of everything seems to always be high, enjoying something for free is always two thumbs up from me.
Saatchi Gallery is this time around presenting Champagne Life, an exhibition showcasing 14 women artists, all from different backgrounds, ages, origins, styles etc. I found the removal of the male gender from the exhibition was an interesting idea and let women take full possession of the space. And possession they surely took over divinely!!  I saw work by Julia Wachtel with her bold and ridiculous sarcastic prints of beauty pageant, celebs, all twisted within bold cartoon characters. Loved it! And Maha Malluh with 'food for thought' and her interesting wall of burned pots found in junk yards and flee markets. I could easily find an understanding of life in these most basic every day objects. A must see! Also Stephanie Quayle's clay arts made simply of chicken wire and clay was very primitive, moving, raw...beautiful! Somehow a return to basic, a return to the earth, a return to life, a return to beauty itself. Probably my favourite. Also I would like to mention Alice Anderson's work; a giant sized copper wire ball along with also a giant copper thread reel. This was art in the gigantic aspect! Impressing too! Whatever your idea of art, whatever you think is beautiful or moves you ...I strongly suggest a visit to the Saatchi Gallery and let yourself draw into your imagination and come back to me with what inspired you most, and let's be honest a women only exhibition we ladies should support! So if you re in London go, go right now before it's too late.
Soheila Sokhanvari | Moje Sabz
"Describing herself as a “cultural collage between East and Western philosophy” the work of Iranian-born artist Sohelia Sokhanvari shuttles between political
commentary and symbolic totem. Her taxidermied sculptures appeal to the literary genre of magic realism, in which ‘reality’ is punctured with fantastical events, revealing meanings more profound that naturalism could hope to do. Sokhanvari points to the use of the form as a method by which artists have been able to “create an open-ended narrative to promote or resist a totalitarian political system”.

"Visual metaphors abound in her work that deals implicitly with the Iranian state. The title Moje Sabz speaks to the ‘Green Movement’ uprising of 2009, in which violent protesters’ demonstrations lead to the annulment of a fraudulent "election result.

Star wars | The Force awakens

This is the first movie review on my blog, I decided lately to go out of my comfort zone and talk more about subjects that are not necessarily beauty related but different things that matter to me and are part of who I am and a bit of change is always a good thing. If you're a Star wars fan and haven't seen it yet, do not worry they won't be any spoilers in this review so like they say:  keep calm and carry on reading.

Cat Make Up Bag | Cute Edition

I definitely did not need another make up bag, but I definitely needed a cat make up bag in my collection, and I am sure you'll agree with that...I hope? I am someone, who despite being in my 30's, loves cute little things, cartoon inspired, fluffy, Japanesy etc. I certainly do not want to grow old and boring so why not add cute little things in my life. I would carry on until...pretty much forever to the despair of my boyfriend.

Colombia Road Flower Market

It was on a very cold, icy Sunday morning, all wrapped up with hundred of layers, that my friend Betsy and I decided to brave the chill that seems to have suddenly covered London lately, and visit the Colombia Road Flower Market. This colourful market is about 20 minutes walk from Bethnal Green and is open every Sunday from 8am until 3pm.

Latest Skincare Addition

Towards the end of December I got lucky on getting a whole bunch of new skincare products mostly as birthday gifts (I am a lucky December birthday girl) or that I personally purchased.

I don't know about you but there is something about pearls that just make me feel a little bit special. Perhaps it's that pearls have been around for thousand of years. Perhaps its because they are naturally made, perhaps it's the shiny pearly reflection that makes them so beautiful or perhaps it's just that somehow they represent some kind of sophistication or even perhaps the representation of femininity in all its glory! Either way pearls and me always have been a big love since I used to borrow my mum's pearls when she wasn't looking when I was probably not more taller than the chair I am sitting on right now.

Cherry Cheer Lipstick | Sleek

If you haven't read my blog post about Film Noir by H&M then you won't know that I am slightly obsessed with sheer plum lipsticks, basically the sheerer and the plumier it is the better. This time around it is not an H&M lipstick but Cherry Sheer Lipstick by Sleek

The Stationery Obsession Edit

The New Year can only mean one thing for me and its getting my hands on new note books. I am not really a diary person as I always find it hard to fill them day by day but when it comes notebooks I don't have to worry about filling the pages, I do so on my own time. This year I got very lucky, I didn't even purchase the two notebooks below. Both were gifted to me and both come from Paperchase which, I have to admit, is my all time favourite stationery store.

Seventeen Mini Eye Palette

Last Christmas I found in my stocking this Mini Eye Palette by SeventeenI'll be honest with you I probably have never bought or tried anything from this brand before, for no particular reasons really, I guess it never occur me to try them before. So I really did not know at all what to expect with this mini palette. To be honest at first I wasn't overly excited by the packaging, its quite colourful yes but the cheap looking carton and lack of a nice design didn't appeal to me at first but I am the type of person that never judges a book by it's cover so I was very pleased to find out, once opened, six very beautiful coloured eye shadows that literally got me very excited.

Hello 2016

I can't quite believe that we are in 2016 already. Where did last year go?  But it is definitely gone, my Christmas tree is officialy back in his box in the attic, along with the decorations, the food in my fridge resembles that of rabbit's rather than the ultra yummy festive one of 3 weeks ago and my wallet is dry! Yep, January is definitely here! *please place sad face here*

My iPhone design with Case App

I am a sucker for lovely, out of ordinary iPhone cases, so when Case App contacted me few weeks ago about reviewing their website and custom my iPhone, I just couldn't refuse.
All I had to do was to try their website and ultimately design my own iPhone case and also this website give you the possibility to also design a case for another product such as a Samsung phone, Sony, iPad, iPod etc. so not just Apple products.

The Vintage One Edition

We all have at least one beauty item in our collection that we have that special connection with, that special something, perhaps that first lipstick ever bought, or perhaps that first palette when we saved every penny for weeks to be able to offer it, or perhaps that one item from a rare collection that we cherish. Well in my case its got to be my beautiful Rouge Pure Shine YSL lipstick in, I believe, the shade SHA1 (Coral), sorry the label is so worn off that I can barely see the reference.

Film Noir by H&M

You know that lipstick that you constantly try on at Boots, that you constantly look at, that you want so badly because some how it will go perfectly with that new outfit or that new bag, or for that party you have planned for weeks. In my case it's that I have a big thing for plum lipstick but not any plum lipstick the one with lots and lots of sheer!

Precious Gems by Bare Minerals

I know Christmas is now over, sadly, but I really had the desire to write a post on my latest three favourite lip balms which are the Precious Gems edition by Bare Minerals. I got this cute trio, in a goodie bag, at the Bare Minerals Christmas Party early in September where I was kindly invited. This Christmas Party was also for the launch of the Bare mineral Enchanted range for Christmas which this trio was part of.
These three balms could not come at a more perfect time, as you all probably know to well when winter comes knocking our lips are left more dehydrated than ever.
