Nakin: A Cruelty Free Skincare Brand

Thursday 24 October 2019 Banbury, UK

Nakin kindly gifted me a selection of their skincare recently to try at home and review.
But to start with here a little about Nakin and their vision:
Nakin is an award-winning British brand, they have the cruelty free label (rabbit logo) on all their products and everything is made in England (I do love to keep a small carbon foot print on our planet).
They believe in not using products such as SLS, Paraben, Petrochemicals, artificial colours and fragrances. It is something that I am more and more aware of, the non-beneficial and sometimes harmful result such products may have on our skin.

Now lets get down to business. Let me introduce you to the 4 gorgeous items I've tried and already adopted!

Lip Treatment Balm - £10 retail price
I could not be happier when I received this product. This is the time of the year where my lips gets dry and a little bit flaky. I am talking about Autumn and Winter of course! and a balm has always been my best defence against the cold weather. I absolutely love the combination of oils this balm contains such as shea, mint, argan and baobab oil. Its literally a spa for my lips. The scent is lovely but very subtle and the application is very easy and feels like butter on your lips without feeling greasy. It comes in a nice little pot that is easy to use and to take with you in your hand bag.

Eye Cream Complex - £18 retail price.
Once again I was delighted to receive this product. Being in my early 40's I understand that eye cream is something that I need to introduce in my daily skincare routine, its something, that I have to admit was not always included. This product is anti-ageing with all the natural anti-oxidant ingredients and kind acids you wish such as Hyaluronic Acid, Hibiscus Extract, Pomegranate, Green Tea & Seaweed Extract etc. I found the Eye cream Complex very easy to use with a weightless sensation and a quick absorbing & moisturising effects. It work kindly on my combination skin and is now part of my daily routine. Also a very small amount goes a long way.

The Revitalising Face Oil - £22 retail price
This was the product that I was the most curious to use, mainly because I am not usually a user of facial oil. I definitely wanted to have a proper try and see if I could incorporate oils into my skincare regime. I have a combination skin which means I have oily and dry areas. So I am always careful when using facial oil because one thing I do not want its to add extra oiliness on my oily patches obviously. But the revitalising Face Oil is not greasy at all which was a lovely discovery on the first use. I usually apply one pump which I warmed into my hands before massaging into my skin. The fragrance is absolutely lovely, thanks to all the oils that this product includes such as sweet almond, baobab, peach, organ etc. its lightweight, smooth and hydrating. I incorporated that lovely golden oil in my morning skincare regime and it is there to stay!

The Nakin Advanced Cleansing milk. £15 retail price
Right, I am always a bit funny when it comes to cleansing milk formulas. I like them to not be too thick and not to be too runny either, you know somewhere in the middle. Well Nakin probably heard my thoughts prior to sending me this product because their Advance Cleansing Milk is just the right consistency for me. Lets start with the scent, because this is usually the first thing that hit you as soon as you open the lid. Wow and wow! This milk cleansing is deliciously scented. Thanks to a combination of rosemary, pomegranate and olive oil extracts. The milk itself is a very silky product that I applied very easily and can be removed as easily. I used this milk cleansing pretty much every night and it always leaves my skin very smooth, hydrated and most of all make up free. My personal best use is with a muslin cloth that I run under warm water.

  1. These legitimately sound so good, your writing is so good! This is a great review and I'll be looking into the lip balm as dry lips are my nightmare especially around this time of year. I struggle with my skin too so it's refreshing to see how face oil can be a great addition without being greasy! Thanks for the great information!
