Kimchee 김치 Restaurant -Authentic Koreans cuisine at your door step

Wednesday 11 October 2023 London, UK

I recently dined at Kimchee Korean restaurant in King's Cross St Pancras London and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who provided me with top-quality service along with a beautiful clean, and serene atmosphere.

A little bit more about the restaurant:
The decor of the restaurant is sophisticated and modern, featuring elegant furnishings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is well-lit calming and spacious, which makes it a comfortable place to be whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a long dinner with friends.

Now let's talk about the food.

The first dish that caught my eye was the traditional Korean dish of the Chargrilled Pork Belly. I must say that I was blown away by the presentation of the dish, which was almost too beautiful to eat. The dish was a delicious mix of thinly succulent sliced pork, served with lettuce wrap, and accompanied by a perfectly Ssamjag chili sauce (a thick spicy sauce made with Korean Soybean paste, Chilli, and other ingredients such as garlic, onion, honey, and sesame oil)  The flavors were well balanced and the portions were generous. I often see this dish being eaten by my favorite K-pop artists or while watching Kdrama as I have been a fan of the Korean culture for many years so of course I had to try it and I wasn't disappointed.

My friend and I also decided to try the chicken Katsu bun. The fluffy steam bun mix with the crispy and tender chicken katsu was made in heaven. This dish is perfect if you have a small appetite or just as a starter for a bigger appetite.

Next up was the Kimchee Jeon, a Korean savory pancake dish made with juicy pork, spring onion, and spicy kimchee. The pork was tender, with a subtle sweet taste that was accentuated by the kimchee spice and the succulent crispiness of the batter.

To add to our meal, we opted for the famous Korean number one fried chicken in South Korea:  the Pelicana Fried Chicken. Those boneless fried chicken bites were hitting the right note. crispy, succulent, melty, and freshly cooked. It was delicious.

Overall, I can honestly say that this restaurant is a must-try for anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I cannot wait to come back and sample even more of the delicious menu items at Kimchee Korean restaurant in the future.
