The desolate beauty of Dungeness

Thursday 9 April 2015 Dungeness, Romney Marsh, Kent TN29, UK

My Easter Sunday was spent with my boyfriend at Dungeness. This isolated beach is a headland on the coast of Kent formed largely of a shingle beach on which sits these amazing abandoned fishing boats. I went to Dungeness before, few years ago and I always wanted to go back this time with my boyfriend which was his first visit.

If you are looking out for a peaceful beach, a place that defines the meaning of isolation then do not look further. As mush as I love living in London, my boyfriend and I are always on the lookout for tranquil places to go for day trips and this beach is just perfect! Also it is surrounded by a protected wild bird reserve which is lovely to see too. We were lucky the forecast was great with lots of sunshine so snapping away was even more agreeable. We loved it so much that we are thinking to go back again but this time rent a little house for a weekend or perhaps a week. Sometimes being cut off from a hectic city such as London is just the perfect remedy.

How was your Easter break? Please tell me all below.
